Description
When I found these recycled glass beads with colors that resemble the land, plants and oceans of the earth, I knew that I needed to create a bracelet for all of us who love and care for the planet.
After we moved permanently to the Outer Banks in 2012, Roy dusted off his old camera and began shooting daily on the beach. On our first day out together, I walked the beach spying bits of trash left by visitors, when suddenly I glanced a sand bucket that an ocean wave had washed ashore. There was no one around, since it was the break of day, so I assumed that the bucket was a gift to me from the ocean, with a request to use it to help make the beaches clean again. I accepted the assignment and have been litter picking the beach ever since. I actually used that same bucket for several years until finally it broke into pieces from being stuffed time and again with bottles, cans, plastics, balloons, and so much more!
I’m sure you have your own story about ways that you help make our planet beautiful and I would love to hear it! …and thank you!
The Earth bracelet is made from 20# natural, beach friendly hemp, with 2 ocean colored recycled glass beads on either side of the amazing earth bead. The bracelet is 5/8 inch wide and adjustable with a slipknot. It opens to 9″ allowing your hand to slip right in, then pull the strings to tighten to fit any wrist larger than 5 inches around.
Each bracelet is hand-crafted by me, Mrs.Bum, and includes a shell charm with my signature seagull, which can be removed at any time if you prefer.
If you leave your bracelet on while you take a dip in the ocean, no worries! But avoid long exposures to water to help your bracelet last longer.
